In 1997, Maricarmen relocated to Florida to join the litigation department of a prominent international law firm, working alongside one of the state’s most respected trial lawyers. After several years with the firm, she was given an opportunity to work directly for the firm’s administrator. Although her passion was litigation, Maricarmen recognized the potential for growth and accepted the position. The move proved to be a pivotal moment in her career—providing invaluable insight into the business of running a law firm and laying the foundation for her future leadership in legal administration.

Maricarmen later joined one of the firm’s founding partners in launching what is today a national boutique firm, where she played an integral role in building the firm’s operational infrastructure and was promoted to firm administrator in 2014. Throughout her career, she has overseen finance, human resources, technology, facilities, compliance, and strategic planning while supporting attorneys in delivering exceptional client service.

In January 2024, Maricarmen joined Martínez-Cid Law as the firm’s administrator, where she continues to leverage her extensive experience to strengthen firm operations, foster a positive workplace culture, and support the firm’s continued growth and success.
