Jordi C. Martínez-Cid is a trial and appellate attorney with extensive experience representing financial institutions, media and entertainment companies, healthcare providers, and high-net-worth individuals in complex litigation and arbitration.
Jordi advises domestic and international clients across a wide spectrum of legal issues—from commercial disputes and internal investigations, to extradition proceedings and sovereign litigation.
He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in federal and state courts, before arbitral tribunals, and in administrative proceedings. Jordi’s clients include banks, broadcast networks, international conglomerates, public officials, and Fortune 100 corporations. Prior to founding Martínez-Cid Law, Jordi served as a partner at a premier litigation boutique and worked in-house for NBCUniversal and Telemundo, and for affiliated entities.
He began his career at a large international law firm and clerked for the Honorable Federico A. Moreno of the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida. Jordi is currently the President of the Cuban American Bar Association and is heavily involved with the bench and bar, as well as the community at large.

- Obtained a complete defense verdict at trial on behalf of an engineering firm sued by a former executive for purported breach of a golden-parachute contract.
- Led a cross-border internal investigation into potential FCPA violations for a Fortune 100 company.
- Defended a marine mammal park in a putative class action, achieving a favorable settlement pre-discovery.
- Successfully reversed adverse trial and summary judgment rulings as appellate counsel in a multimillion-dollar commercial dispute.
- After presenting the case in chief for claimant before the International Centre for Dispute Resolution, obtained a settlement for millions above the initial pre-suit demand made by predecessor counsel.
